Successful Bow Season
Well we have had a lot of excitement around here this fall. Jake headed out to the woods for the first time as a bow hunter and we have had a lot of fun. We have been hunting behind our house in Mendon and one morning we were out to Gorham. The weather has been very, very nice. It reallys is great living in this part of America. Last night Jake and I were together in a tree stand when he took his first shot at an adult doe. Perfect shot right through the heart. Later in the day John P. came over with a 7 py he had shot on his property on Quaker-Meeting House. It was so warm that we had to cut up both deer tonight. Lots of rootbeer and kids helped us zip right through it. We even had time to get out into the woods and set up another tree stand. We are using 2 person stands so that we can sit together. We are having a ball!
