Team Fish Tek-Northern Ontario Fishing
For three days Clint, Angus, Shu and I caught about 200 northern pike. It was a great fishing trip to northern Ontario. We drove 10 hours, 630 miles to Cochrane, Ontario and flew via Air Cochrane 45 miles to a remote lake.
We caught all our fish on large spinner Fish Tek spinner baits. Mepps, Rapalas, Jakes, and Believers produced nothing! The dark MSB was the big producer. Clint caught the largest fish at 42" and Angus caught the meanest fish as it hauled him to the deck of his boat and almost into the water. Shu was dealing with strep like symptoms, but hauled in his fair share of pike out of the weeds.
The above pike came completely out of the water, briefly hitting Angus's troll, but his hands were covered with sunscreen so I dutifully stepped in to cast down this large pike.
This fish caught by Angus, hit the lure twice, and the third time he hit it like a heat seeking missile. It almost pulled him under the boat as it put up an incredible fight. He was laying under a log along the shore in the southern part of the lake.
Clint's Monster Pike at a hopping 42"
He caught this fish along an outside weedline in the morning.
