Spent a couple days in Chautauqua fishing with my Uncle Cam. The weeds were lower than I have ever seen them. The traditional well defined, tall and heavy, weed beds did not exist. They were there, but what looked to be a month behind schedule. I took water temperature finds with my Clinefinder and water temps were 65-67 degrees down to 22 feet. Rained all day, but it was warm out. Fished two days an the only fish we saw were carp jumping and rolling. Still it is a great warmup to our annual Air Cochrane trip.
