April 15 on Honeoye Lake

This AM we launched at the North end and wet the first line by 6:30 AM at the south end. We joined 6 other boats. Water temperature was 52 degrees. We fished for three hours with only bass and perch to show for our efforts. No crappie nor did we see anyone catch any fish.

We then went to the famous "red barn ledge" and dropped anchor alongside five other boats. Two guys using jigs, juice, and a slip bobbers caught at least 20 crappie. We continued to clobber the perch and bass, but no crappie. I guess minnows were not on the diet today. The water temp was 47 degrees here and the fish seemed to be in 10-12 feet of water.

The rain was on/off and we pulled the boat at 12:30...caught a lot of fish, but no crappie yet.
