Hannah on her watch
Today Jessica, Hannah, and I went to K-Mart and got their first big game deer license.  For the first time ever, New York has a youth only 14-15 year old gun hunt weekend.  After we got our licenses we went to the Hedges out in Bloomfield.  We sat for an an hour over looking a ridget on the east side of their driveway.  The squirrels were not happy with us, tossing acorns at us and chirpping up a storm.  So much so that we left because of all the racket they made.  Jessica saw two does but was not presented with a clear enough shot and I told her that this was the mark of a good hunter as you only shoot when you have a great target presented to you.

We then stopped at the house and met the Hedges latest lab puppy named Ruby and boy was she cute.  We hiked over to the gas well and walked up on a doe.  We sat for an hour and saw a couple more, but the sky opened up and we got rained out.  I grabbed my trail cam and have posted the album of all the bucks I got off it....there are a couple nice ones.
